Tanglin Club Junior Choir (TCJC) is a non-auditioning choir for children aged between 6 to 16 years old. Our current sub-section includes children aged 4 to 12 years old, so we may consider younger age groups on an individual basis.
Our choir follows Kodaly’s concept of music education which is based on the following components:
TCJC is also an inter-generational choir, where parents or grandparents are welcome to participate in any performances or choir practices.
The main objective of the Junior Choir is to create a safe environment for children to explore their musical talents. We also aim to positively influence on children’s language, cognitive, emotional, physical and creative skills. We believe that singing in groups at a young age helps children develop social skills such as communication and teamwork.
TCJC is led by Ms Wynne Lee, our main conductor, she will be assisted by Ms Ho Lian-Ian.
