Rules & Regulations

Tea Room Dress Code

Subject to the provisions of Bye-Law 10(a) below, the following exceptions are permitted:

(i) T-shirts, (ii) Dress shorts, and (iii) Sandals

 

10(a): General Dress Code

Members, guests and children are required to be presentably dressed at all times in a manner consistent with the character and standing of the Club.

Any Member, guest or child who is deemed to be unsuitably dressed may be refused entry or requested to leave the Club, or any part thereof, by a Member of the Committee or the Management.

The Committee may, from time to time, vary the dress codes set out herein for particular events or functions. Such variations will be made clear in the publicity for such events or functions.

Unless otherwise specified herein, the dress code in all parts of the Club shall be:

 

Gentlemen

(i) Shirt (including polo shirt) with collar; or safari jacket; trousers or jeans; with closed type shoes (including smart trainers).

(ii) Formal national attire of the wearer.

Ladies

(i) Dress; skirt, trousers or jeans, with suitable top or blouse; shoes or sandals.

(ii) Formal national attire of the wearer.

Children

Boys: Shirt (including polo shirt) with collar; trousers, jeans or dress shorts; with closed type shoes (including smart trainers).

Girls: Dress; skirt, trousers or jeans, with suitable top or blouse; shoes.

Cut, frayed, tattered or dirty items of dress are not permitted in any part of the Club.

No racist, anti-religious or offensive slogans or wordings allowed on any part of the attire.

Outdoor headgear shall not be worn within the Main Clubhouse other than personal religious headgear.

No sportswear or sports shoes may be worn within the Main Clubhouse, unless walking through the Main Lobby to or from the Sports Complex, Swimming Pool or Tea Room (for the purpose of making a takeaway purchase).

Swimwear or wet sportswear are not allowed at all food & beverage outlets, except for the outdoor dining area and patio of the Wheelhouse.

Bulky sports equipment bags (e.g., golf, tennis or squash racquet bags) are not allowed in all food & beverage outlets, with the exception of Tangles and the Beer Garden. They may be stored in lockers in the Changing Rooms or at the Front Desk.

 

Child Policy

• Children under 14 years of age are not allowed in the Tea Room.

• Children between 14 and 18 years of age must be accompanied by a Member.
